CHRIS KRAUS
Chris Kraus, film director, screenwriter and novelist, was born in Göttingen in 1963.
Since founding FOUR MINUTES FILMPRODUKTION GmbH, he has been the company's managing director. His feature films (including 'Scherbentanz', 'Poll') have won many awards, including a total of six German and nine Bavarian Film Awards. 'Four Minutes' with Monica Bleibtreu and Hannah Herzsprung also won the 2007 German Film Award in Gold for best feature film. His most recent work, the tragicomedy 'Die Blumen von gestern' (2017) starring Lars Eidinger, was honoured with numerous international awards, including the Tokyo Grand Prix. The film also received eight nominations for the German Film Award. Chris Kraus' novels (including the international bestseller 'Das kalte Blut', 2017) are published by Diogenes Verlag (Zurich).
